Lent 2020: An Invitation to Reflection As Presbyterians we observe Lent as an opportunity to reflect on our inner lives with Christ, and to adopt practices that would allow us to know God more deeply, and to be known more deeply by God. On February 9 and 16, our own Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Nordquist will lead us in Faith Conversations to help us prepare for the holy season of Lent, which begins with Ash Wednesday (February 26). The first week we will look at what Lent invites us to do and to be, and what it does not demand of us. In the second week, we will look at particular emphases that might aid us in our reflection in this season of the life of the world, particularly those suggested by Dr. Walter Brueggemann: 1) facing reality; 2) grieving our losses; and 3) living in hope. Each week will also include suggestions for reading and practice. Please join us in Hoffman Hall right after worship starting February 9. Refreshments and childcare will be provided.
