In his beloved television program, “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” Fred Rogers spoke directly to children about some of life’s weightiest issues in a simple, direct fashion. There hadn’t been anything like Mr. Rogers on television before and there hasn’t been since. In “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” the filmmaker looks back on the inspiring legacy of Fred Rogers (who was also an ordained Presbyterian minister), focusing on his radically kind ideas and the importance of protecting childhood. Join us Sunday, August 11 from 5:00-7:30pm for a viewing of this incredibly touching film. Dinner and childcare (and tissues!) will be provided. Please RSVP to the church at firstname.lastname@example.org.
