Hoffman Hall
Join us on Wednesday, October 2 at 7:45pm in Hoffman Hall as Women Reading reconvenes after a summer break. For over 30 years, the WPC Women Reading group has met monthly to discuss and reflect on books chosen by our members. Our selection for our first meeting this fall is the bestselling novel, Circe by Madeline Miller. A prize winning writer and classical scholar, Miller retells the story of Circe in an intimate and lively first person account that offers a fresh view of familiar Greek myths. The Washington Post reviewer writes that Miller’s eloquent prose “hews to the poetic timber of the epic, with a rich, imaginative style.” Our discussion leader will be Lise Deary. As usual, you do not need to have read the book to attend our meeting.
